The Tiny Caterpillar and the Great Big Tree is a is a wonderfully written and illustrated children s book. Looking for friendship, the caterpillar searches and comes upon a ladybug, an ant, and a spider. They all refuse becoming his friend until something happens.Suddenly, it occurred to me... I have all of the Harry Potter books. What is wrong with me - none are written by an American Author. I am an American, you know. J.K. Rowling is from the UK and probably richer than the Queen of England. This is CRAZY! Not to knock J.K. Rowling s writing gift and not to sound prejudice but Americans who purchases children books need to purchase books written, sold and published by Americans.A cartoon character that is a sponge, you have to be kidding me, who d want to read about that? Your children and believe it or not they will absolutely love him, it s true. As parents we may not fully appreciate this cartoon image of a square shaped sponge man with legs who motivates around causing problems, learning lessons, and making us laugh, but that is okay.
